THE VISIONARIES
When sales become
co-storytellers
The most revealing moment is when the conversation
turns outward, into the organisation.
Maria talks about watching sales colleagues take the
design directions and make them their own - not by
repeating phrases, but by translating them into personal storytelling for customers. The designers give
something structured. The salespeople return it with
personality, authenticity, and often with a surprising
new angle the designers did not see coming.
The team often see newcomers arrive in sales a little intimidated by the abstraction of textiles. Then the
fabric works on them. They loosen. They grow. People
who seemed rigid become more supple, more elastic,
and the soft skills of selling become power skills: emotional intelligence, narrative judgement, the ability to
read a room.
“Fabric can change a person’s way of speaking”, Cenk
notes. Someone who once insisted “fabric is fabric,
price is price” begins to point out well-being in a material, to talk about texture and look-and-feel, to build
capsule presentations - a curated edit where direction, taste and customer needs fuse into something
new. Sales becomes, in the team’s words, more poetic
with the fabrics.
