the future
Their work is shaped by a simple ambition: that the
efforts of today will withstand the optics of tomorrow.
From the introduction of ISO 14001 in 1996 to initiatives
like LOOP, Gabriel has kept pushing the boundaries of
what can be expected - and documented the effects
by every measure and in every detail.
The Guardians translate responsibility into data and
decisions. They start with the textile and then zoom
out: materials, processes, suppliers, customer expectations. Wool and polyester remain the primary ingredients today, but other materials are constantly under
evaluation.
From there, the questions multiply: where do the fibres
come from, how much energy and water are used
along the way, what chemicals are introduced, and
where consumption can be reduced without weakening the product performance that made Gabriel
trusted. It is the Guardians’ field of view: the textile on
the table, and the system around it.
Rikke, Pernille and Louise work side by side - overlapping where it makes sense, splitting where depth is
needed. Much of their sustainability work centres on
lowering environmental impacts, while quality keeps
their attention on the performance expectations customers rely on. “Quality, environment and production
- it’s one connected thing”, as Rikke notes.
