The suppliers of Gabriel’s looms say that nowhere do they see their
looms running as fast as they do in Gabriel’s weaving operation. Nowhere do they see so many changeovers, so much fast re-tooling, so
much pressure to trim a setup and still reach stable production quickly. It is precision under time pressure. In the Makers world, speed is
another form of discipline. The work has to be calm to be fast.
