THE CONNEC TORS
Preferred development
partner, in practice
When the Connectors talk about closeness to the customer, they often return to one phrase in Gabriel’s
mission: preferred development partner. Benjamin
breaks it into components.
Preferred means you have earned proximity - enough
trust that the customer wants you there. Development
means you are involved early and keep showing up,
not only at the final purchasing moment. Partner
means it is “together like in a relation,” give-and-take
with shared momentum.
In practice, this becomes a way of working. For larger
end customers and complex projects, the team builds
a task force that covers different stakeholders - architects, industry, dealers - and then pulls internal colleagues in as well. It’s rarely possible for one person
to drive it alone; “we need to be a team around the
table.” The customer should feel that more than one
person is taking care of the needs, and the connector
should feel confident that the solution is actually being
carried out.
Donna sees the same logic from another angle. She
joined Gabriel as a textile engineer in quality assurance, moved into sales, and orchestrated the build of
the Greater China organisation - today spread across
cities and channels, with teams focused on both industry and the A&D segment. Growth requires closeness at scale: systems that keep relationships personal even when the map grows complex.
